Environmental Benefits
In recent years, research has shown that there is a direct correlation between carbon emisions and negative environmental consequences. The largest contributor to carbon emissions is undoubtedly energy production and consumption.
In addition to energy savings and equipment upgrades, another important aspect of this project is the significant environmental benefit. Through the implementation this Energy Savings Performance Contracting Project, Eastern Kentucky University will reduce its ANNUAL energy and utility consumption as follows:
- 24,665,190 KWH of Electricity
- 89,329 Thousand Cubic Feet of Natural Gas
- 76,738,909 Gallons of Water (102,585 Hundred Cubic Feet)
