EKU Energy Savings Performance Contract - Press Release

Background

In August 2008, Eastern Kentucky University executed the largest Energy Savings Performance Contract (ESPC) in the history of the Commonwealth of Kentucky.  An overview of this $27 million agreement with Siemens Building Technologies, Inc. is presented below.

Current Construction Activities

  • 10/3/09 - Combs reheat system replacement is complete.
  • 11/30/09 - Building Control upgrades are in process in numerous buildings.
  • 10/16/09 - Student Services Building Steam Addition is complete.
  • 12/7/09 - Lighting retrofits continue in Rowlett, Ault, Mattox and Dizney.
  • 11/30/09 - Commissioning continues on-site on various buildings.
